Obsidian Loom ("we", "us") operates the website obsidianloom.com and the connected service Emilia Connect, an OAuth bridge that allows authorized Google account data to flow into Emilia, a personal AI assistant running on hardware owned and controlled by the end user. This policy describes what data we access, how we use it, and the rights you have over it.
This policy applies to anyone who visits obsidianloom.com or who connects a Google account to Emilia via Emilia Connect.
When you authorize Emilia Connect, you may grant access to one or more of the following, depending on the Google API scopes you approve:
We do not request scopes we do not use. The exact scopes shown on Google's consent screen are the only scopes Emilia Connect will ever request.
Data accessed through Google APIs is delivered directly to your personal Emilia instance — software running on hardware you own and control — so that Emilia can answer your questions, draft messages, manage your calendar, and assist with the tasks you ask of her. We do not use your Google data to train models, build profiles, or generate analytics. We do not sell your data and we do not share it with third parties for advertising.
Obsidian Loom's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Emilia runs locally on the user's own hardware. Tokens needed to maintain the Google connection are stored securely on that same hardware. Obsidian Loom does not operate a central database of user content. Transient logs needed to keep the service running (for example, error traces) may temporarily exist on infrastructure used to host the OAuth callback, and are not retained beyond what is necessary to diagnose problems.
If you opt in to text messages from George Underwood at connect.obsidianloom.com/sms-opt-in, we collect the phone number, name, and timestamp you submit, solely to send you the conversational messages and account notifications (such as scheduling reminders and appointment confirmations) you consented to and to keep a record of your consent. We will not share mobile information with third parties for promotional or marketing purposes. Message frequency may vary. Standard message and data rates may apply. You can opt out at any time by replying STOP to any message, and get help by replying HELP or emailing [email protected]. Consent is not a condition of any purchase.
You can revoke Emilia's access to your Google account at any time by visiting myaccount.google.com/permissions. To request deletion of any data stored on your behalf by Emilia, or to ask questions about this policy, contact us using the address below. We will respond to verified requests within thirty days.
Obsidian Loom is not intended for use by anyone under the age of 18 and we do not knowingly collect data from minors.
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of Emilia Connect after a change constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
